Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9, 1976, from Beaumont Puy de Domme. Her parents who were dental surgeons along with a teacher, recognized and backed her passion for theatre and drama from a young age which overcame her initial ambition to become a primatologist due to her passion for monkeys. Her rise to stardom as a young actress quickly and was accompanied by her early successes. After finishing her studies, she participated in the French talent-scouting TV program Jeunes Premiers. She took home the award for Best Young Actress at Beziers Festival of Young Actors and began her professional career as an actor. While she attended an institution called the Institut Catholique de Paris and was a member of the church during her childhood, Tautou is now averse to the Catholic tradition, saying that she's not Catholic. With her acting work, she tried her hand at modeling. It is her turn to be the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and has been referred to as the Chanel Muse. Her photography is also a hobby and she has recently displayed her work in the Arles festival in France under the name Superficial. She is a photographer who focuses on famous people, the media and press that scrutinized her after her meteoric rise in fame thanks to Amelie. Also, she has some photographs of her own self. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her first role in a major film, in the role of The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie earned international acclai record and also received praise at awards ceremonies across all over the world. It is currently the highest-grossing French film on the market in US. The film's success led to a huge increase in production. Tautou went on to star in several films, such as British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
