April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began the guitar and piano lessons in seventh grade. This sparked her interest. April Lockhart wrote her first song"Different" when she was 12 years old. The singer spent much of her time at 14 composing songs and experimenting with music. After that, she started taking trips to write with her father, who lived in NY and LA. April began also to incorporate additional topics that were related to of her peers who are dealing with issues such as bullying by peers and teenage suicide as depicted in the song Take my Hand. Lockhart has her own fan base and also works as a lifestyle blogger at the popular Ilia Clean Beauty brand. The truth is that she was born with no left hand, and it is what makes her different. It's not the only thing about her. So, Lockhart's Instagram profile does not shy away from her handicap, however the focus isn't on her disability either. It's a message. It's crucial to understand that everyone has multiple faces. Our identities vary and we are much more than our bodies. Lockhart stated in a video interview that she didn't want to be defined by her handicap. She doesn't wish to become an advocate for disabled people who only speaks about it. There are a lot of aspects of Lockhart. This doesn't interfere with my daily life. All is well and I've learned how to make adjustments. It's also part of me, so I believe it's important to talk about. Her journey to self-acceptance will be one that lasts for a long time, and she is an inspiration in this regard. She still admits having gone through phases in her life in her body, and felt insecure at times to wear outfits that showcased her arms. Today, she wears anything she wants. and she shares her photos on social media. Self-love, she says, is a kind of journey. "I believe that you'll be in that place," she said. But, this isn't the case with anyone with doubts. The people around you with who truly know you and see through your eyes are the ones you should be relying on to remind you of what you're concerned about.
