Johnny Depp's neighbor, an old friend of his, has testified that the former wife of Depp, Amber Heard had said the actor hit her with a cellphone, kicked her out of the house and beat her at the Los Angeles penthouse where the couple lived. But Isaac Baruch said he never witnessed any signs of abuse on Heard's face, both when he first saw her in the hallway and the following day at the entrance to their art deco-style building. Baruch is the third witness called in the trial over the allegations of Depp that Heard has portrayed him in a false way as someone who was a domestic abuser. Depp asserts that an opinion piece Heard composed to The Washington Post in 2018 impliedly criticized the man. Heard mentions herself in the piece as a "public image of domestic abuse." She doesn't even mention Depp. The lawyers for his lawyer claim that this is a reference to the restraining order Heard got in the month of May, just after Depp was reported to her as saying that the divorce was his desire.
